​ The Medical Residency (MR) is a postgraduate teaching modality, intended for the training of physicians, in the form of specialization courses characterized by training in services. It works under the responsibility of health institutions, university or not. It is regulated by Law 6,932/1981, which provides guidance on high ethical and professional qualifications. This teaching modality is considered the best form of training for medical professionals, having become an integral part of the training of this specialist. It constitutes a practical learning that integrates, by its nature, the ethical judgment to the exercise of the profession.
